Lift technician that's fixing BBC Oxford's broken lift is now stuck in there & waiting for another lift technician to come out & release him

It would take a heart of stone not to chuckle......
I worked in the management of an office building. I was on duty on a weekend. The building engineer got stuck the same way. I had to call my guv and the Chief Engineer to allow me to sign an authorisation for the lift-servicing company technician to come out on a Saturday morning. Suffice to say, however hungover he was, he didn't mind the extra pay for showing up, as he got paid a premium rate. The Chief Engineer wasn't too thrilled about his bloke getting trapped, however. And he knew he'd take a whipping from the Building Manager for costing him money like that, as would the engineer on duty. But hey, stuff happens.
