How Long To Save The NHS?

In 1997 Labour said this :

Labour is elected, having claimed there are "24 hours to save the NHS". It pledges to cut waiting lists by 100,000. The Chancellor promises to spend £1.3 billion on hospital building, but stick by Tory spending constraints on staff and resources.

Fast Forward to 2 years after they leave power :
And finally today :
So Andy Burnham admits that the other promises were not meant, indeed even the one given by his Leader Ed Miliband, as for his "Fatal" motion, after Mid Staffs i dread to think what that means!

One does also worry about Labours grasping of the concept of time!
