Tight Comment Policy?

When you say you will run a tight comment policy, its a good idea to stick to it

That is an overview of liberalconspiracy comment policy , so i wonder how these comments stayed up

Ok, that one is "debatable"(In the fact of different ages for consent in Europe) , but then

and then finally

How does that fit into a "tight comment policy" ?

As Frankie Boyle tweeted (I believe) - if only Savile was still alive so we could hang him!

The hysteria has gone too far. He was not a "paedophile".
The girls were sexually, although clearly not emotionally, mature and above the age of consent of several European countries.
Of course it was clearly abusive and connived at by the BBC, NHS etc etc and those people need to pay the price.
Still the hysteria has gone too far.

    1. "As a medical diagnosis, pedophilia, or paedophilia, is defined as a psychiatric disorder in persons who are 16 years of age or older typically characterized by a primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children (generally age 13 years or younger, though onset of puberty varies). The prepubescent child must be at least five years younger than the adolescent before the attraction can be diagnosed as pedophilia.[1][2][3][4][5] "

      See wikipedia..

By that definition, Mr Savile was a paedophile..

  2. I agree about he hysteria. I await the mob rushing to the grave digging him up and smacking the corpse around a bit.

How about a decaying head on a pike in the BBC lobby?
Now thats good mob justice right?

As a nation - how low we sink.

    It's worse than that Jim.....he's dead....Jim dead.

  3. Unfortunately (for Jimmy) they were not above the age of consent in this country, which, frankly, is all that matters. He was (alleged to be) a serial sexual predator fully aware of the laws of the land. He had a choice, those children did not.

  4. @Ade.
Some were in hospital and unable to give or withold consent.

The man was a predator, he preyed on the vulnerable to get his sexual gratification, some might call that being sexually perverted.

Age and consent are one thing, but it is the abuse of privilege, power and position that we should be condemning Savile for.

  5. In Leeds, we have since the 70's heard that he had the keys to the morgue in the LGI hospital in return for his charity work.
He was once stumbled upon in the morgue, not perhaps doing what you assume but brushing the hair of dead old women. Perhaps slightly more creepy than sexual abuse.

    1. Anon, 12:55, when I heard that Jimmy Saville had died I wondered when the necrophillia story would come out. Like many I thought his twist was corpses not teenagers.

    1. Easy, John Peel, Gary Glitter, Sir Jim and any other sleb now deceased you care to insinuate. Pretty sure Jimmy Hoffa was playing the Harmonica in the nude with a daffodil up his plectrum as well.
The BBC expenses chit said 'floral arrangement'.

As usual the narcotics were billed as 'Refreshments'.
