I saw this yesterday and got quite angry when i read it, Was this really the use of resources by the council, to chase a pensioner over 3k from a decade ago?
Surely the council could have used some common sense? what does locking up an 80 year old person for 10 days?
I appreciate that they are only following the law and that just because someone is old they should not be allowed to evade council tax. It just does not seem right to me.
I just hope the Council are squeaky clean when it comes to say, expenses, if not they may end up with egg on their face.
