    He could take a running leap off the pier as his sign-off on his last broadcast, preferably with a rope around his neck tied to a weight.

    Disraeli said it about Gladstone and the Thames, but it works for Morgan: "If he fell in, it would be a misfortune; if anyone rescued him, it would be a calamity."
